Hey, music lovers! I'm still reeling from the surprise release of Shekinnah's third album, "Less Trouble". No teasers, no warning – just a full project dropped on us, and boy, am I glad she did it! The album has been on repeat in my playlist since day one, and I'm excited to share my thoughts with you.

A Departure from the Norm

"Less Trouble" is a game-changer. The 11-track album showcases Shekinnah's versatility as a vocalist and songwriter, effortlessly shifting between genres and moods. The feature with Young Stunna on one of the tracks was a pleasant surprise – it's a banger that adds a unique flavor to the album. What I love most about this album is how different it is from her previous work. The tracklist flows seamlessly, and each song complements the next.

Exploring Themes of Love and Self-Discovery

Shekinnah explores themes of love, self-discovery, and heartbreak throughout the album. The standout track "Bare Minimum" is an anthem for anyone who's tired of settling for less. It's a powerful message that resonates deeply. My top tracks from the album are "Spoonky," "Risk," "Steady" (both parts), "Bare Minimum," and "Breakup Season." Each of these tracks showcases Shekinnah's vocal range and emotional delivery.

A Must-Listen

If you enjoy atmospheric pop with introspective lyrics, "Less Trouble" is a must-listen. The album is a masterclass in versatility, and Shekinnah's talent is undeniable. I'm already planning to attend her next concert – she's highly gifted and deserves more recognition.

Rating: 4.5/5

Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with "Less Trouble." It's a cohesive album that showcases Shekinnah's growth as an artist. Have you listened to "Less Trouble"? Share your thoughts and favorite tracks in the comments below!

Recommendation: It's actually amazing to listen to the album from start to finish without any skips – the atmospheric journey will throw you into the album's vibe, and you'll truly appreciate its beauty.

Stay tuned for more music reviews and updates!

Netflix's highly anticipated series GO! dropped on March 21st, and I just binge-watched it. I'm here to give you the lowdown

The show starts off predictably enough, with Siya, a talented 100m runner,
landing a track scholarship to St. Jude's. But, as we know, life's never that straightforward. The Plot Thickens Siya's friend Mandla calls him to celebrate this milestone at a club,
but the night takes a dark turn when they're involved in a fatal car accident.
Siya was driving Mandla's car, but after the hit, Mandla is unconscious.
In a panic, Siya calls his brother Shuffle, who tells him to switch Mandla to the driver's side
to make it seem like he was driving. Unbeknownst to them,
Mandla wakes up with no memory of the accident and gets wrongly accused of being the driver. The Story Unfolds As the series progresses, we see Mandla discovering the truth about the accident
and that his cousin knows about it. Meanwhile, Siya doesn't show up for his track trial
at his new school, leaving us wondering what's going on. Then there's Gabi,
the sister of the boy who died in the accident.
In a shocking twist, she asks Siya to make love roughly and films the whole thing.
We also see Gabi telling her father that she wants to show him something,
and we can only assume it's related to Siya.

The Ending: A Frustrating Cliffhanger? Here's where my enthusiasm starts to wane. The series ends abruptly,
leaving me feeling unsatisfied. With six episodes, each around 20 minutes long,
I expected a more conclusive ending. Instead, we're left with multiple cliffhangers
that feel more like unresolved plot threads. It's like Netflix is saying,
"Hey, we'll pick up where we left off... eventually." To make matters worse,
Siya ends up living with the family of the boy he killed, adding to the complexity of the plot. The Good Stuff Despite the frustrating ending, I must give credit to the amazing visuals,
clever writing, and engaging storylines. The plot twists are impressive,
and I was hooked from the start. The characters are well-developed,
and their struggles are relatable. My Rating: 7/10 Overall, I'd give GO! a solid 7/10. While it's an intriguing series with a lot of potential,
the abrupt ending left me wanting more. If you're a fan of drama, suspense,
and complex characters, you might enjoy GO!.
Just be prepared for a potentially frustrating conclusion.

Hey there, fellow Youngins enthusiasts! It's hard to believe that our beloved Thursdays,
affectionately dubbed "Youngins Thursdays," have come to an end.
The first season of this captivating teen series has left us with a void that can't be filled,
and I'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster that was the finale.

A Perfect Season 1

What made Youngins truly special was its unwavering commitment to its main storyline,
tackling the sensitive topic of pedophilia and its far-reaching consequences.
The show's ability to balance multiple storylines and character arcs was impressive,
making each episode a joy to watch. The unbreakable bond between Mahlatse and Tumelo was a highlight, best!
If there was an award for best friends, they'd win hands down!

The show's portrayal of Sefako's secret relationship with Mgweri was another aspect that kept me invested.
I was convinced that Sefako loved Tumelo when he cried after their breakup,
and I was hoping season 1 would end with them back together.
Although that didn't happen, I'm hoping season 2 will explore their storyline further.
One aspect that left me wanting more was the underdevelopment of Sefako's storyline as a closeted gay character.
I wish the show had delved deeper into his journey and struggles,
as it would have added another layer of depth to the series.
The finale's surprise kiss between Amo and Khaya felt like a misstep,
betraying Mahlatse's trust and leaving a sour taste in my mouth.
Despite these minor quibbles, the show's conclusion was satisfying,
with the principal's exposure being a particular highlight.
Pearl's transformation from unwitting accomplice to advocate for the students was inspiring,
and her bravery in standing up for the kids and confronting the truth about her boyfriend, the principal, was commendable.

Season 2 Predictions

As we eagerly await season 2, I have some prediction:

  • Amo and Buhle will likely become sworn enemies, fueled by their rivalry over Khaya.
  • Mahlatse will struggle with depression and heartbreak, potentially leading to a decline in his school work and even suicidal thoughts.
  • A new openly gay character will shake things up for Tumelo and Sefako, forcing Sefako to confront his feelings and possibly come out.
  • Khaya's academic struggles will lead to a dramatic repeat of grade 12, and I'm eager to see how his story unfolds.

Most importantly, I hope the show will continue to tackle tough topics
and deliver the same level of drama and excitement that made season 1 so unforgettable.
Tshedza will undoubtedly bring more drama, and I'll be waiting with bated breath.
Farewell, Youngins Thursday – my Thursdays will never be the same without you.
Bring on season 2! The wait will be long, but I'm confident it will be worth it.

Rating: 5/5 stars

Until then, let's keep the conversation going and relive the best moments of season 1.
Share your thoughts, theories, and expectations for season 2 in the comments below!

Thank you! Bye for now

Hey guys! I know I'm a little late to the party, but better late than never, right?
Today, I'm thrilled to share my thoughts on Ariana Grande's stunning album, Eternal Sunshine.
And let me tell you, it's a masterpiece!

After a four-year hiatus, our queen Ariana has returned with a vulnerable and raw album
that takes us on a journey through her personal struggles and triumphs.
Eternal Sunshine is a beautiful reflection of her experiences,
including her short-lived marriage to Dalton Gomez and her quest for self-discovery.

The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart (no surprise there!)
and its first two singles slayed the Billboard Hot 100 chart (because, Ariana Grande!).
My personal faves are "True Story," "The Boy Is Mine," "Eternal Sunshine,"
"We Can't Be Friends," and "Supernatural" - but honestly, every track is a gem!

Ariana's vocals are as powerful and emotive as ever,
and her ability to share her feelings through music is truly a gift.
If you're looking for a chill, vulnerable, and raw musical experience,
Eternal Sunshine is the album for you!

Rating: 9/10

So, go ahead and indulge in Ariana's soulful voice,
and let her take you on a journey of love, heartbreak,
and self-love. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Thank you for reading, that I’ll see again next time!

Happy listening, Arianators

Hey, Netflix bingers! If you haven't watched Heart of a Hunter yet,
what are you even doing with your life? Released on March 29th,
this South African production took Netflix by storm, raking in those sweet, sweet views!

The Plot Thickens...
Connie Ferguson and Bonko Khoza went head-to-head in a battle of wits,
with one fighting to expose the truth and the other trying to keep those secrets buried deep.
It was a thrilling ride, folks!

The Good, the Bad, and the Meh...
Overall, the movie gave us a full-on Hollywood experience,
and I was living for it! The cast was phenomenal, but that ending though...
It felt a bit rushed, with all the villains meeting their demise without any real accountability.
I was hoping for a more dramatic showdown!

Bonko Khoza: The Real MVP!

Bonko Khoza stole the show with his incredible performance!
He brought depth and nuance to his character, and I was thoroughly impressed!
He's definitely one to watch!

Connie Ferguson: A Familiar Face...

While Connie Ferguson was amazing, I couldn't help but feel like she was channeling
her iconic character, Harriet Khoza from "The Queen." Don't get me wrong,
she's an incredible actress, but I was hoping for something more distinct this time around!

The Verdict...
Heart of a Hunter was an enjoyable watch, but that ending could've been more impactful. If you're a fan of South African productions, you'll still appreciate the effort and talent that went into making this movie. Just be prepared for a slightly disappointing conclusion!
What are your thoughts, folks? Did you enjoy the movie?
Share your opinions in the comments below! Let's keep the conversation going!

Rating: 4/5 stars

Recommendation: If you're a fan of action-packed movies with a touch of drama,
 you'll enjoy Heart of a Hunter. Just don't expect a mind-blowing ending!

A Journey of Authenticity, Fun, and Boss Vibes

Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog

Today, I'm thrilled to dive into the world of Thando Thabethe's brand new reality show on BET.
From the moment I caught wind of this project on her social media,
I knew it was going to be something special.
Thando has been a powerhouse in the entertainment industry for years,
and this reality show feels like the culmination of her
hard work and magnetic personality.

If you've been following Thando's career like I have,
you'll remember her standout performances in shows like "My Perfect Family."
But she's not just an actress; she's also conquered TV presenting and radio hosting,
solidifying her status as one of South Africa's most consistent celebrities.

When the trailer for her reality show dropped,
I was hooked. And when the premiere date finally arrived,
 I was glued to my screen. Thando didn't hold back;
she gave us an authentic glimpse into her life,
inspiring viewers with her journey to success.

One of the highlights of the show is Thando's inner circle.
From her vibrant mother to her loyal friends,
each episode introduces us to the people who have shaped Thando into the remarkable woman she is today.
I particularly enjoyed seeing Thando's friend's life – they radiate positivity and friendship goals.

Throughout the series, we witness Thando's work ethic and ambition firsthand.
She's not just coasting on her fame; she's actively involved in multiple businesses and is making waves in production,
from acting to directing. Her journey is a testament to the power of hard work and determination.

But what sets this reality show apart is its ability to inspire.
Thando exudes boss vibes while remaining humble and relatable.
And seeing familiar faces like Mantsoe Pout and Thando's childhood friends adds depth to the narrative,
reminding us that success is often a collective effort.

Of course, no reality show is complete without its share of emotional moments.
From Tumi's surgery to Given's journey of healing,
each episode tugs at the heartstrings and reminds us of the fragility of life.

As the season progresses, I find myself eagerly anticipating each new episode,
eager to see more of Thando's world. And while I'm thoroughly enjoying the posh lifestyle glimpses,
it's the authenticity and genuine moments that make this show a standout.

In conclusion, Thando Thabethe's reality show is a triumph.
With its perfect blend of authenticity, fun, and boss vibes,
it's a must-watch for anyone seeking inspiration and entertainment.
Here's to hoping for many more seasons to come!

Thank you for joining me on this review journey – until next time!

I know this may be a little late but I thought I should just share with you the fun experience I had at Kelly Khumalo's concert. Look, before I begin, I'd like to put it out there that I manifested going to Kelly's concert and the universe said, "My darling, your wish is my command" like literally. I was watching her reality show - Life With Kelly and there was an episode on season 3 were she took a fan to her concert last year, I think, and since I've been a  fan, I thought, it really would be nice to watch Kelly live, doing her things, and look, it happened, didn't it? The power of manifestation is real as long as you leave it to the universe, everything will take taken care.

Ok, let me get to the point...

I'll start from the beginning, I had two tickets to the concert and then I asked a friend of mine to tag along and she did. The show was at Emperor's Palace in Kempton Park so you know it's kinda far and expensive, especially when you use an Uber and are unemployed like me ha ha but well, we had a plan. We took a taxi to Kempton Park which really didn't cost much but going back home did cost a lot given that we had to request and Uber and it was late at night.

When we got there, it was early so we went to News Cafe... (Before I forget, Emperor's Palace is such a beautiful place and it got such a cute vibe, loved it!) Anyways, back to News Cafe, we bought some drinks, you know, pregame vibes, we were served beautifully by this guy called Thabiso, cute boy, and he even offered me free cigarette which I felt it was a nice gesture so if you go to News Cafe in Emperor's Palace, please ask for him and you won't ever forget his beautiful service.

Ok, moving along, when the time hit 8pm, we went to the theater where Kelly was performing, I think it was called Marcellus Theater, damn! It was beautiful and good news is we were not that far from the stage which was even more exciting.

Ok, the first set of her show was all about the new songs on her latest album called 'From A God To A King' and the truth it, I only knew two songs from the album and that is Bazothini and Akathintwa ... that kinda made the show even more interesting because after hearing songs like Mina Nawe, Isivikelo, Uzoma and  Uyathandwa I was hooked to listen to the album every day, even my students just know that Kelly Khumalo will be on my playlist during break time. And then there was this one song she sang, it's called Ngisize, that, for me, was my absolute favorite, just loved it. Kelly never disappoints with her beautiful vocals, she really gave it all for us, it was like she was not even pregnant but well, she is and that didn't stop her from bring her A+ game.

Okay, after that, we were given a 20 minutes break for Kelly to go change her costume, she was wearing a white beautiful angelic gown that made her look extraordinary. When she came back, she was wearing a red dress which also looked amazing on her. Second act was my fave, she sang sobabili, Baby please, Uthando, Esphambanweni, Ngathwala Ngaye and more retro songs that made us fall in love with her, it was quite the experience. I forgot to mention that she walked passed us as she started singing the songs on her second set, it was badass hey. And then for her last song, she performed the multi platinum hit single "Empini" and I just lost my mind, I wanted to go and hug her but I couldn't because her security would just knock me off ha ha but otherwise it was beautiful. I had the most fun there and I wouldn't wanna miss her show ever again.

Seeing Kelly in person was such a beautiful experience, she's quite a phenomenal woman and when she speaks, everything feels okay. She's got quite an authentically pure spirit  and that's one thing I've always loved about her. Everything went perfect, I was happy and if I were to rate to her concert, it would definitely be a 10/10 because I don't think there's anyone who can do it like her in Mzansi, I don't like comparing people but I'm 200% sure that Kelly Khumalo knows that she's the Beyonce of South Africa, given her vocals and work ethics, she's the IT!

Would like to thank Blu Bloods for sponsoring me with the tickets to see Kelly Khumalo, I had fun and I appreciate your kindness.

Don't forget to buy her new album called FROM A GOD TO A KING which is available on all music platforms, you're definitely going to love it.

You can also watch a video I posted on Tik Tok to see my

 experience at the concert @bongimbele_

See you again on another concert, thank you

The sequel to the 2016's Happiness Is A Four Letter Word is a romance that tackle the lives
of Zaza, Princess and Zamkhitha as they start afresh with life against the background
of family feud, new beginnings and loss.

To be honest, I didn't really expect to see the movie having a sequel because
as far as I'm concerned, everything ended perfectly on the first movie. I was NOT
taken by this one as much as I was with the first one, let me tell you why:

Firstly, we were supposed to get all characters on board since  we were revisiting their
lives to see what they have been up to five years later. The thing is, between the three
ladies, Nandi was my favorite so imagine having to watch a sequel and find that your
fave is no longer on the movie, that was disappointing.

Storylines:
Nevertheless, I loved the new girl, Zamkhitha, her storyline was enthralling to watch and
it was the only solid storyline that made me enjoy the movie the most. After breaking up with
her ex, she was totally broken and finding that he's getting married on Instagram, she was
shattered. With Yonda coming to the picture, she finally found healing and new love even
though it did not come easy since Yonda also came with his own baggage of heartbreaks so
it was cute to see them finding each other and put on view that regardless of  numerous
heartbreaks, happily ever after does exist.

Princess's storyline started well but it was just all over the place. To be honest, I thought we'd see
more of her relationship with Maxwell, he seemed like a control freak in the beginning,
which would be interesting to see but that did not happen. I was expecting to see more like,
maybe, the guy become too controlling and then Leo, who just appeared out of the blue, would
be the hero to save her out of that restraining relationship, wouldn't that be interesting to watch?
But what we saw was Leo coming back after five years, apologizes for being away and then
he gets to sleep with woman he left in the middle of pregnancy, which for me was kind of weak.
Her relationship with Maxwell seemed like a fling since they broke up the moment the
baby daddy comes back to right his wrongs.

And then we got to see that Zaza's husband has passed on a year ago and now there's
his sister who wanted her out of her brother's house and all of his estates. Again, her storyline
was not given much effort because we saw that Fakazile wanted to do everything in her power to
make sure that she ends up in the streets and then we also saw that Zaza is dating her attorney lawyer,
which for me would be really interesting to see more of since, on the first movie, she was kind of
attracted to that other guy so if I were to dish out ideas or suggestions, I wouldn't really have killed
the husband, I would've created another affair for Zaza, this time with the lawyer and then the
husband finds out and cut her out completely. with that happening, Zaza would find new
love from the lawyer and end up spending her life with him and they try by all means to
make a life together, wouldn't that really be happiness ever after?

Overview:
The movie was not really boring, not at all. It just felt like a new movie rather
than a sequel. The sex scenes were luscious, saucy and very attractive, I would
like to give appreciation to the actors and their sexy chemistry. The acting was perfect,
both Khanyi and Renate brought back their A-game in portraying their roles once again,
they were beautiful to watch again. I also loved Nambitha's performance, it was perfect but
didn't like the fact that she got to be the narrator of the sequel? What I am trying to bring to
light is that Zaza and Princess were the one who were supposed to narrate the story since they
were welcoming us back into their lives, we really did not need a new perspective on a
continuation of a story, especially this one. With all that being said, I'm giving the movie an
80/100 not because it was a flop but simply because it really did not meet my expectations,
it lacked that fire and their storylines sucked a bit but we can't deny that the production was
beautiful, worthy of Netflix.

The sequel is now streaming on Netflix.com
