MY FISRT BLOG EVENT: Bains Whisky Urban Forest Unveiling

Last Thursday I went to Modderfontein, was invited by Bain’s Whisky
for their forest Unveiling and also to celebrate their successes
on winning international awards that their distillery has achieved for it sustainability project.
 I really had fun!

This was my first ever invite and I must say,
I had great time

Okay, the distance to that place was long but we made it on time.
we were welcomed with cocktails made from Bain’s Whisky, of course!
I've never really been a fan of Whisky but Bain’s was quite delicious, I loved it!

The event had élite people, I saw a few actors from my favourite shows -
very polite, humble and down to earth, loved that!

As starters started arriving, we were escorted to their forest where
they got to plant 5000 trees, all thanks to Green Pop -
they are an award-winning registered non-profit organisation
headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa. They work to restore ecosystems
and empower environmental stewards through reforestation,
urban greening, sustainable development, and environmental
art projects across Sub- Saharan Africa.

I really love their work because it's not to profit but to help restore
the nature since a lot of us don't seem to pay attention to saving the
world but after I've seen their work, I'm willing to volunteer
and play a part in saving the planet, working with them, of course.

After the planting session, we got to have a Whisky tasting session with Andy Watts,
Founder Distiller of Bain’s Whisky, who has pioneered many
South African whisky firsts, including the country's first single grain whisky.
It was very honourable to have a live conversation with him as we got to
learn on how he managed to make it point that Bain’s Whisky becomes one
of the best Whisky in the world. He said a lot of inspiring words, for a second,
I wished I was a distiller like him because, gosh, he made it look so easy,
a great time we had with him.

After all, the night was amazing as I got do a little bit of networking
with other influencers, it was indeed a beautiful intimate event and
being part of it was amazing. I'm glad that I wasn't the driver hey, I was drunk,
we would've crashed if I was.

Thanks to Bain’s Whisky and GreenPop SA for having me,
I enjoyed each and every second there and also thanks for the bottle of
Whisky given to us as a thank you gift for being there,
I'm saving it for a special occasion.

Furthermore, my first ever blog event was amazing,
I can't wait to attend more events and just have fun, doing what I love and enjoy.
I will post a vlog on YouTube about this event soon!

Thank you! See you again!
