LESSON I HAVE LEARNT DURING LOCKDOWN

Hello Good People

Well, the truth it is, it has been hard during this pandemic, a very historic Struggle.
I am pretty sure a lot of us can say that we’ve had our fair share of hard times and
really it was a big mess. All I can say is behind every struggle there’s always a lesson
and I have learnt quite a lot last year with the pandemic that is why I decided to share
with you lessons I have learnt during lockdown

I’ve learnt that money saving is more important than practicing a spending
spree every time money comes by. That designer Jean, that six pack of alcohol,
that Uber eat order, all of that isn’t worth it. Instead of maintaining that useless lifestyle,
save as much money as you possibly can for rainy days because that’s the money
you are going to need when times get hard.

Blood is not thicker than water, yes literally it is but it is not actually. How many members
from your family asked if you need anything during this pandemic? I’m pretty sure you
get my point. Hard times reveal people who are real in your life. My family weren’t those people,
they weren’t real, not that they owed me but as a young boy trying to survive,
I needed that call from them, nobody bothered but luckily, I had good friends and
neighbors from my community who made sure I needed nothing while they were around.
All I can say is blood doesn’t define family, but kindness and support does.

I’ve also learnt to appreciate my job. A job is essential and without it you can’t survive,
it is a blessing from God. Wake up and stop complaining that the alarm woke you up so quick,
be grateful of another day given to live, to go to work and make money for yourself,
a million of people would Kill for the life you’re living, be grateful.

Be willing to learn more than your possible capabilities. A lot of people made money
during lockdown because they had a lot of skills like knitting masks, baking cakes and bread etc,
people did take advantage of lockdown and got to benefit a lot of money from it.
Skills are important and can really take you out of poverty. Always learn new things,
never deny yourself learning great opportunities.

Lastly, I’ve learnt to help as much as I can, it’s a good course.
Change lives by giving kindness and expect nothing from doing it.
Ubuntu should be something that runs in everyone’s veins, it is what the world needs.

I hope you too have learnt a lot during lockdown like I did. Thank you.

See you again.
